It was amazing. I ran into a guy who I had told I sought a Boss 302 or 428 Mach 1 for a project. He gave me a number of this guy who he thought had 'one of those cars' and that his wife didn't care about it anymore and he preferred GM cars...so he might want to sell. Apparently, they guy bought his wife this car in 1979 because she always wanted a mustang. I called the number thinking the odds were against me that it was a Boss or 428 car. After he gave me the description of the air cleaner, I knew it was an 'R-code' 428CJ. I put a $28.00 brake part on it and it was on the road. The picture of the car in the parking lot was it's first drive....it wasn't even washed or detailed yet. The day prior, I had only wiped it down with a towel in the rain. I tell everyone now...follow any lead even if you think it could not be true, you never know!!
