Nice job Kid. This car is awesome, fantastic wheels and you have added the retro touch with stripes and louveres.

Very nice look. I have a charcoal 03 Mach 1 and would like to know where you got your louveres from. It's hard to know what it is going to look like until you spend the money, so I appreciate you being the pony for me.

Thanks for the kind words bicknell. The louvers are made by Visus and available through many sources online.

KidMach- is the stripe vinyl or paint? How much did it cost? If it's paint, is it under the clear coat? Has there been any problems with it. I own a Charcoal Grey 04 Mach and want to add a stripe. Thanks. luvabullie@peoplepc.com

The stripe was painted on by Pearson Ford here in the San Diego area. I had them paint the louvers and rear spoiler with the same paint so all the black matches perfectly. It cost $1200, no clear coat, no problems after a year....Kid

Yo, I'm a Ford service writer, owner of 04 Comp Orange Mach, interested in louvers, had a set years ago on a black '78 Z28. These Mustangs all have heated back glass, but really never will use, garaged in Southern California. So I could tint. Right now there is a red 03 mach in our body shop with Visus louvers, poor quality, doesn't cover whole glass, has flimsey louvers with exposed top hinges, bad fit etc. In your photo they look great, full sized and no hinges showing, are there different models available, or is yours new, improved? By the way, you have the best photos, in both layout and car, best looking car on the entire websight. I drive an '89 white GT to work each day, both cars with auto trans, that's why I haven't owned a Cobra. That 25th Anniversey model, like this new 40th, I am the original owner, low miles, as this one should be, Sat and Sun drives. Thank you in advance for info and any help you can provide, again congrats to you on having the best photo display, and the best looking car of all shown on this web site.
Ron, the T.O Cowboy, Oh yes, I don't have a post or photos displayed.

I too am in So.Cal., the Ventura County area Northwest of LA, earlier this week I posted a question about KidMach's louvers, or I though I did? I don't expect an answer so soon, but I don't see my posted question anyway. Maybe It will show up if KidMach replys, the last posted question posted Feb 10th '04 was answered Mar 7th. Yes the photo rates surely a "10".

Hey Ron.....your reply just posted today 5/16....dunno why? Anyway I appreciate your comments a lot. The Visus louvers do not have exposed hinges. The one you saw had the hinges on wrong. When mounted properly they leave no side gaps but you need to mount the lower pads so they stretch the louver apart slightly. This makes it lay flat on the glass and not be flimsey. There is a small gap at the top of my glass because I mounted mine that way. If you mount them per instructions at the top of the glass, the top louver is way above the roofline which looks goofy. That leaves a large gap at the bottom of the glass too. The Visus louvers are not perfect but they're pretty good, just be careful mounting them....Kid
