Automatic guys, what longtube headers fit??

I'm considering an automatic equipped Mach 1 and was wondering wich brand of longtube headers fit these cars. I would keep the BBK's off of my Terminator but I've heard there's clearance issues with the automatic. People with experience with this please chime in.

Re: Automatic guys, what longtube headers fit??

From what I have read here and asked people.

Kooks are the best as they allow you to pull the trans without loosening the pass. header.

SLP can do this also but you have to "you have to pull, turn and lift at the same time. and hold our mouth right" as quoted from the PM lol

Hookers will fit but I haven't found anyone using them to confirm whether the pass. header has to be loosened to remove the trans.

Macs are the best bang for the buck but you will have to loosen the pass. header to pull the trans.

From what I've read on American Racing's website their headers are made wider so the trans can easily be removed but that is most likely in reference to 5spd's. I haven't been able to find any info on Stainless Works headers in reference to fitment on autos yet.

This is all just based on the asking around and searching the intraweb I have done.

Can you remove the trans without pulling the passenger header? To me that is very important. Will save a lot of time should the trans ever need to come out.
