Magnaflows installed

Wow what a difference changed my 1chamber flowmaster back to the magnaflows not the packs,i did this because with my bassani Xpipe it was just way to loud for commuting 80 + miles every day i think the Xpipe is what made the diff also much cleaner sound now

Re: Magnaflows installed

DUDE gimme details. I have a MAC catback and it's also almost too much noise for me to deal with between the noise and the actual noise of the exhaust. Im looking into getting a Magnaflow catback (not the packs) but I am unsure of what it's gonna sound like.
Drone?
Loudness?

Any details would be nice...a clip would even be better!

Re: Magnaflows installed

Heres the bottom line iwent from not being able to think and hardly hearing the stero turned way up to no noise or drone of any kind in the car, it's a little louder than stock and at full throttle loud with out being over the top trust me on this its why i whent back to the Magnaflows and not the packs.also think of it this way you will be much more stelthy and un suspecting.

Re: Magnaflows installed

Hahahaha yeaaa so no drone huh? That's awesome. The drone because louder and unbearable after I got my magnaflow catted x but on last week. Thanks for basically helping me with my decision. I was thinking on going with the packs but Im tired of noise.

Re: Magnaflows installed

Similiar to what I went through.
Had 2 Chamber Flowmaster w O/R X-pipe = Very Loud, Raspy
Swapped to Magnaflows and O/R Prochamber= Deeper throatier sound

Current setup at WOT: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/2...dc0184e4b8.htm

I like to call it controlled chaos!

Re: Magnaflows installed

Wow that does sound really nice. Controlled chaos does sound good! Haha. Well thanks for basically making the decision for me. The only thing I'm gonna miss is the sweet idle of MAC's catback. And ever since I through on the x pipe, right away I began to miss the deepness of it with the stock h

catted if you want less noise and a deeper muffled noise. OR PChamber if you want more pop and carry without the ear bleed of O/R X's and H's.

Re: Magnaflows installed

Magnaflows are the quietest of the hi quality 2 1/2" all stainless systems for our cars. And no other catback makes more power. A good combination for power, especially with their excellent catted X pipe.

Re: Magnaflows installed

I just ordered my Catback from MRT. Nice people. Can't wait to get em put on. Stock is way too quiet but I don't like the super loud pipes either. To me, the Magnaflows are just about right. To me, tone is more important than loudness. The fact that they flow awesome is icing on the cake.

My truck had some no name brand cherry bomb type muffler on it when I bought it. To me that sounded perfect for that truck. Used to get compliments on it all the time. Never was able to figure out the brand though. It was too rusted. Had to replace it and put a Flowmaster muffler on it and it doesn't sound near as good.

Re: Magnaflows installed

Ill have to wait to get my magnaflow catback. I wish there was something a LITTLE louder than magnaflow without the drone of MAC's catback.

yea, a tad louder at idle would be nice but I would NOT want to loss any tone.
