Swapping Borla for MAC...am I crazy

I have had the Stingers for a couple thousand miles and am not crazy about the sound...would like a deeper, chambered muffler and want smaller tips as well. Will I shoot myself later if I swap it for a MAC SS??

I love the sound of Mac's! If I wanted a chambered muffler, I'd definitely go with that one.

Listen hear bub...the MAC on our Mach's sound so sexy. And my girlfriend just told me today how loud it was when she was driving behind me in her car. The sound is deep as hell and mean as hell. You will not be disappointed my friend..

Sounds like you'll like the Mac better. I prefer chambered on the Mach also.

You might kick yourself. I would try to find someone locally with that setup in a cobra and ride in that one since finding another mach might be rare?? dunno

personally I didnt like the borla sound. Very exotic but the back pressure crackle sound called the "borla burble" on here sometimes I didnt like so I went another way. MACs sound amazing at WOT but not so much when downshifting or slowing down imo

Re: Swapping Borla for MAC...am I crazy

Thanks guys....yeah, the Borla burble is one thing I don't like either. Was cool at first, but now is annoying and I find myself not downshifting so I can avoid it. What does the MAC sound like at slow down that you don't like?

I agree whole heartedly with that. Ever since I put LT's on, I have not been crazy about the sound of my exhaust. WOT is fine, but slowing down or when the engine rpm's drop in between shifts (when the engine is taken to 4k or greater) I have a crackling noise that I do not care for. I had it with the Flows, so I switched to the Mac and they are not as bad, but it is still there.

As some one posted previous, fiind other 4v 4.6s with different exhasut setups for you to listen to.
