rice question

why is my bov soo quiet........? i vented to the atmosphere and it still doesnt sound all that loud......just wasnt sure if the p1sc bov are quieter than the d1 series and p1sc-2's......

I think p1sc's have a diffrent bov then the d1s. Could be wrong though. Is yours plastic?

hmmm...mine is plastic and loud as all hell. Maybe not enough boost.

If you want to go to the trouble of welding on a different BOV flange, I suggest the HKS SSQV. It's both loud and can hold pretty much any amount of boost without leaking. I had one on an Eclipse before I got the Mach and it worked well all the way to 25 PSI. That's as much as I tried it with; I'm sure it would hold more because of the way it's designed.

Cool vid! Sounds like the BOV is fluttering a bit, though. Is that normal for this unit? The HKS also does that sometimes, at part throttle blow-offs.

its funny but thats the sound i wanted......i checked it it works perfectly....and yes it metal.....ive never seen a plastic bov before......but ne way just wasnt sure....

Oh yeah....your right. Mine is metal. It's black so I was thinking it was plastic but I just checked. Man I've forgotten alot. Gotta get the cobwebs outta my head. haha

my fav is the blitz dual drive.i got one on my sti.im running 28 lbs and when i shift i sounds like a tire just blew out

any of you procharger guys slapped an airfilter on the end of yuor bov's i saw it im a mag recently and was considering doing it........also might stop and crap from getting in when the cars off ect ect........btw where is everyones bov dumping all the excess air.....

mines pointed toward the hole in the passenger fenderwell under the intake assembly......

Mine is just pointing down in front of the crank pully.
