O/R or Catted?

I have the Magnaflow Catback, and I want it louder. Not a HUGE amount louder, but definately louder. I just don't want to be annoying.

I'm looking at getting a ProChamber. The catted version is 200+ more, and if the O/R isn't that much louder than the Catted, I would probably just get that.

Re: O/R or Catted?

dont know for sure what catted sounds like but mine isnt crazy loud uncatted.. unless you really stomp on it but definately has a really good "throaty" sound.

Re: O/R or Catted?

It depends on what insanely loud is, I have the flow kit and it seems raspy, with BBK off road x-pipe. Honestly I just like the sound of off-roads versus catted personally. I don't think off-roads will give you that much more power, it's just what you prefer with the sound of your exhaust system

Go with this set up; see signature. It is probably what you are looking for.

Re: O/R or Catted?

I'm looking for a really deep sound, pretty smooth and not very raspy, which is why I went for the magnaflows. I hear the Prochamber helps as well with the deepness. I just don't know the sound level difference b/t catted and o/r

Re: O/R or Catted?

Just an idle video clip. The first one is w/o cats and the second one is w/ cats. Will give you some idea of sound diff.

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/5...b1934fa6bb.htm

To me there is a pretty big diff. in sound. w/o the cats it was too loud for me. Had some mini high flow's welded in.

Re: O/R or Catted?

I think i've decided to go with the O/R. I figure I can always add some mini-cats or something later!

Re: O/R or Catted?

If in the future you decide to add mini cats, look for them on ebay. I found mine for $38 a piece. Local shops wanted between $150-250 per cat depending on the brand.
