Re: Blow off Valve

The loudness of the BOV system will depend on how you route the bypassed air. If you route it per ATI's instructions (back to the inlet side of the compressor), there is very little noise. The BOV that are noisey are the ones that vent to the atmosphere. I am not sure what the pro/cons to how you vent are other than the noise.

Re: Blow off Valve

Procharger's don't come with a BOV, they come with a bypass valve.

Re: Blow off Valve

So what is the difference between a BOV and a surge valve the ATI uses other than where they vent to? Or what makes the ATI a piece of crap?

BOV are used in turbo setups. You will not get that Fast and the Furious sound from your car with a Blower. Go buy some rice if you want that noise.

Re: Blow off Valve

the red Procharger race bypass valve is TOP NOTCH and will be good to at least 25psi, so if you want to upgrade that's the one I would suggest.

Here's what mine sounds like.

It's a 12# P1SC-2 with stock Proflo surge valve vented to atmosphere.

haha...that's my buddies car.

500/500.

The problem with those runs is that the ground was damp from a misting we had earlier that day.

In the races he started off in third I started in fourth.

He has 3:55's I have 4:30's. haha

In the second vid you can see where I start to catch up in boost but we had to get off of it I didn't want to go to fast.

Put it this way....at the track where it counts he runs 11.8's with it.
I ran a 12.1@ 114mph N/A with only 294/316.
I make 465/409 now so I guess we'll see how is faster.

I'm going to the track in a couple hours!!

Re: Blow off Valve

D@mn, since we're posting vids of our cars and their bypass valves, here's mine. It's vented to the atmosphere and you can here the "flutter" when i'm off-throttle.
