video w/ the HP custom cams!!

This is with the HP cams: 470 lift, 272 intake, 282 exhaust, 112 lobe sep. Warm idle at around 700-900rpm's. Let me know what you think!!!

Remember that this is with converters. I am sure that it would sound a hell of alot better without them.

Re: video w/ the HP custom cams!!

Sounds awesome.
Makes me remember how bummed everyone was
when Ford first installed the Mod motor in the Mustang for the 96 model year.
Everyone was thinking this sort of thing was dead, crying for the 5.0.
Ford is pretty smart, and with Ford development, aftermarket support,
and enthusiasts, look what we all have now!!!
All we now need is some more parts support from FRPP.

Forget the sound. How much horsepower and torque did you gain. Show us a dyno graph.

Re: video w/ the HP custom cams!!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive input. I did order an off road h pipe and will get a sound clip w/ that and will post later. Does anyone know of a "special" inspection place around the copperfield/katy area that I can take the car to to get the inspection done? It expires this month. I'm afraid that I am going to have prob's w/ the inspection; will leave the catted h pipe on for inspection.

Re: video w/ the HP custom cams!!

Nice numbers...don't worry about the inspection. As long as your check engine light is not on you will pass. All they do is hook up to your OBDII port and see if you have any DTC's.

Re: video w/ the HP custom cams!!

wow....that is a nice picup with cams. VERY impressive sounding and like the graph. How much did HP charge for those cams if you don't mind me asking? How is your street manners now? Did you lose any low end or feel like you did?

Sorry so many questions...
oopss...i just looked at the graph again...i guess you did lose the low end

Re: video w/ the HP custom cams!!

Yeah it did lose a little on the low end. But, when you wind it up you can really tell a diff. Even my bro said the other day after a I took him for another ride, he said it was a huge diff. Now, I just want to run my friend w/ the c5 vette w/ the full exhaust and tune. I think I should be able to take him, now. I'll post another video w/ some idle and rev's, when it stops raining.

Re: video w/ the HP custom cams!!

As far as the inspection, HP said that I would have to bring the car back to them so that he could "change three things w/ the computer" and then it would pass. Then bring it back to them so that he could change it back after the inspection. Now, what he turned on or off to require that I do not know. I just wonder that as long as no lights are on, will it pass If I just take it somewhere? If it doesn't pass then what happens?

i will be looking for it for sure. I think a 4.30 gear would take care of any loss. Iam going to call them this week...

thanks

How much did they charge for the install? Also, did you have any port work done to the heads?

Thanks.
