Re: Linemups dyno day #2

Looks like hes out of fuel as its only around 5800rpms when he shut that down. That combination he has could very well go to 7500 rpms so picking up another 75-100 to the wheels is possible. Of course that graph is misleading as its boost on one side and air/fuel on the other.

I think with his combination that the Crower Stage 2 cams with a 114LSA would have been better vs the FR500 cams with a 109LSA. Too much overlap with boost usually means some of the boost ends up in the exhaust tract before the exhaust valve can close and ultimately means less power and higher fuel consumption.

Ran out of fuel sweety ! Thats with only 12 degrees of timing on pump gas .
I have not even made it to boost range yet . Thats half boost at this point . When i hit 6000 rpm that F1R is going to go off the chart . Looks like 750 ish on regular pump gas for my daily driver tune . Then the race tune will be race fuel and the juice .

You also have to remember that this was with only 12 degrees of timing . I could have gotten another 75 last night by playing with the timing but its not worth the effort or risk . Ill be finished by Thurs. with the fuel upgrade and back on the dyno with the new numbers .
This can be true but with the F1R its a top end animal which is what i was looking for . I want that top end . I really like the idea of low boost on the street . Makes it very driveable . Big boost for the track .

OMG. I would die for those numbers. Can't wait to see it once you workout all the bugs and give it full boost and spray. Nasty. Hope you got some sticky rear tires.

I was dieing ! It was a tough day . Between pulling spark plugs twice . Switching nozzles , and flopping out Maf sensor and set-ups all day long . Pretty sure we have it all figured out though . Just got to get a few bugs out thats all . But she is beautiful . Like Corey(CMYLXGO) told me yesterday , hes been working the bugs out for six months . So if i can get mine worked out in a week i guess thats pretty good .

Can't wait to see you turn-up the wick! Are you changing pumps now to fix the fuel...I thought that setup (which I'm using) is good for 700 hp!?

BS ! Sure if you like living on the edge . Too much money tied up into it to try . I could have gotten another 75 turning the timing up but its not worth it . CPR rails system im altering , and dropping the big GT pumps in it as we speak . You can see i was leaning out and shut it down . The GT pumps are rated at 370 each , what i was told anyways . Heve not had time to research it quite yet . Running seperate lines from the hat to a y block . Putting the fuel on the passenger side plug away from the sensor . Plenty of fuel pressure but its that much of a drop to the other side . As usual the little guy has to fix the big guys product .

Oh yeah one more thing switch to 72s if you have not bought the 60s . If not keep them , the tuner can adjust through the programming .

I'm still working out mine, and it's been ~5 months. I think I'm getting close! Just need to iron out the air/fuel ratio and firm up the 1-2 & 2-3 shifts @ WOT!

Re: Linemups dyno day #2

Well, a viper at our local track (usual DA's around 3000-5000') was pushing ~1000hp and only managed a ~11.3 @ ~125-130 (spinning in every gear). I know you've done suspension work and all that, so hopefully you'll have better luck hooking. I'm looking forward to seeing the results!

Re: Linemups dyno day #2

Ok, so it sounds like you have enough braces for the car. Next you'll need a neck brace for all that torque that's going to hit you in the face.

You may also want to bring an extra pair of shorts.

Now thats funny . But seriously , looking at a custom cage and race seats .

Got a quote from a guy who is the best around here ! So they all say . LOL
Unfortunately the way i want the cage is really unique and $$$$$$$

So thats my next adventure . I really want this car as close to a daily driver yet capable to go to any track at any given time and be in the 9s all day !
Tough thing to accomplish but yet is very probable , once everything is set in place .

I have plenty of shorts ! LMAO

I have seen them for $ 215.00 , but Dave at Kauffmanns told me about 90.00 a piece .
