Re: need pics of skinnies on the front?

Weld Racing makes a 17 inch skinny. No griding required. I will be going that route. Seems like too much trouble with griding and spacers. Just my 4 cents. (inflation)

Re: need pics of skinnies on the front?

I use a 1" spacer with 15" Weld Draglites. No grinding required, but you will need 3" studs. Works great and doesn't look bad at all. Don't have any pics for you at the moment, sorry...

Re: need pics of skinnies on the front?

Weld Aluma Stars 2.0 (1.75" Back Space) with 1/4" spacers which still requires grinding of calipers..

No they will not. And you will have to grind the factory studs about an 1/8th to get the spacer to fit.

Standby for pics-I need to get the camera.

Just get the spacer and grind the stock studs like QTRPONY said. You're not grinding any threads, just the end with no threads.

Yes you will have to. I thought the ones that came on the spacer would work but they were not long enough. I had a hard time tracking down ones that were long enough and that had the correct knurl to press in. I may have a part number somewhere if you need it.

The real advantage to going this route is so that you can remove the spacer and put the factory wheels back on-is that what you are going for?

Re: need pics of skinnies on the front?

15X3.5 prostars with cheap radial skinnies, 1 in MM spacer and 3 1/2 in studs:

The studs stick out too far but I have not gotten around to grind them so that they are flush with the lugs.

wtf spacers did you get that didn't have long enough studs to bolt a wheel right next to them?

if they're spacers with the studs built in, there should be no problem in reaching the wheel... must be those funky wheels you have that you had to grind stuff for... :P

both my fronts and my rears stick out a bit... looks like it's got 13" daytons on it... but oh well, gets the job done

The MM ones he was talking about. They were not long enough to be NHRA legal.

Don't know the exact price. I know they weren't cheap. I guess it all depends on if you want to pay for the ease of just putting them on with no spacers, longer studs, grinding, etc.......
