sniper special forces?
Just curious if it does anything with the knock sensors on the tune like turn them off or make them less sensitive.

Re: sniper special forces?
It will give you the option of turning off the rears. No sensitivity adjustment.

Re: sniper special forces?
No No No -------------- SF alone will not toggle or adjust knock sensors. It will do rear o2 sensors and a ton of other stuff.
Unless you have something special going on the knock sensors work exceptionally well on the Mach1's. I would leave them enabled and tune around them. You would need Commando/Delta Force to have FULL control over a tune.

Re: sniper special forces?
I would leave them alone. They seem to work fine on my car and unless you have the ability to datalog and analyze that data, making these adjustments would be a crap shoot. The SF produced tune has worked for me without the need for further adjustments most of the time.

Re: sniper special forces?
if they sense any knock at all they pull about 8 degrees of timing from what I have heard , alot of guys turn them down to 4-5 degrees so it wont quite kill the power as bad if they do go off

Re: sniper special forces?
If you're looking for those last few HP and it ain't your DD, have at it. The knock control on the Mach1 engines is really done well compared to some other attempts by Ford. I have decided to take full advantage of it and extend the engine life.

Re: sniper special forces?
If you are not doing a PD blower, I would suggest you keep them normal. If you put a PD SC on top of the motor you may have to turn them off or down to keep the blower from activating them.
And don't forget about the knock sensor on your right foot. It's the best defense! |
