Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread

Here's my car on 17x9 and 17x10.5 Chrome 03 Cobra wheels, 1 coil cut in the front. Only pic I have so far of them, put them on the day before I cruised out to Milan for the NMRA event with the rest of chicagolandmustang.com and this is the only pic since I installed them... the cars been sitting in the garage broken since I got back

How close were you able to get on the alignment after cutting the coils? I'm trying to figure out how much I can cut off the spring while still aligning it enough with the factory hardware that I won't be buying front tires every 6 months.

As you can probably tell by the retarded amount of camber of my front wheels in that pic, I haven't had it aligned yet, but as far as I know with 1 full coil cut off the front it can still be put into factory spec with out the CC plates. Im totally happy with how it looks now and since I live in Chicago I dont want to go to low It still rides good untill you put 2 normal sized passenger in the car or 1 fat *** in the front then it feels like your riding on bricks

But I love the raked look and I love my 03 Cobra wheels... After 6 sets of wheels in the 18 months I'v owned my car I'v finally found ones I wont get rid of for a LONG time.

Re: The Wheel Pictures Thread

American muscle or you can order them through Ford ( PM Birdman941) or just pop them out of your stockers and throw them in the new wheels.

Here's mine:

If they were the same size I would have no problem.. However, the saleen center caps are smaller than the stockers. The stockers are 2 1/2" and saleens are 2 3/8." I've looked and all I find in that size are the original saleens and the knock off ones with an "R" (ones I currently have) or an "SR" logo.

Yeah it is sitting in storage up in VA. Waiting for the previous owner (friend) to bring it down when he visits. Still deciding whether or not to put it back on though. I kinda like it wingless.

Doesn't look too bad on a DSG, but I would probably put it back on. It just looks empty IMO. But everyone is entitled to his/her preference when modding a car.

I'm not much for silver on the Black Machs. But, you really made it work. I think the side stripe made the difference along with the dished bullits.
