Car wont fire up
Ok....the Mach sat for about 6 months while other projects were played with and now it wont start. Every 4th or 5th time it will fire up but wont stay on more than a couple seconds.
I put in a new inline filter but it just seems to me like the injectors need to be primed or something like that. Who knows...maybe the fuel pump gave up the ghost but it seems like Im missing something here. Is there a trick Im missing on fuel injected cars to get them going once they sat awhile???

Re: Car wont fire up
no tricks really.
theres a valve on the pass side fuel rail, take the cap off and use a small screw driver or other pointy object and SLOWLY press down on the valve. If no fuel comes out you have an issue with the fuel pump or the systems that drive it (PATS, FPDM etc...)

Re: Car wont fire up
You could try turning the key on, but not starting it 3 or 4 times. That will prime the fuel system. It should definitely have pressure after doing that, assuming it's not something mentioned in the above post.
I've heard of the injectors getting gunked up from sitting over the winter. Maybe you could pull the injectors and clean them up and retry..? I've been putting stabilizer in my gas the past two years because I've been worried about mine sitting.

Its probably the injectors. I didnt turn mines on for 6 months and fuel sitting there must have clogged em. I would try what someone said up there about the valvr on passenger side. If u got pressure its probably your injectors.
