ABS Pump Delete Brake Manifold

If interested in removing the ABS pump for 94-2010 Mustang GT/Cobra/Mach 1/V-6, let me know and I will machine the delete manifold to replace the ABS pump without having to re-plumb and flare lines. The factory ABS pump can be re-installed down the road if desired. THIS IS FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY. http://www.prbmachining-absdeletemanifolds.com/

These manifolds are machined out of T-6061 aluminum and weigh (98-04) 0.32lbs. (94-97) 0.5lbs. The 98-04 ABS pump & bracket weighs 9.7lbs. The 94-97 ABS pump & bracket weighs 13.5 lbs.

Links below shows pictures of 94-97 ABS Delete Manifolds Cobra/GT:

It replaces the Bosch ABS pump which weighs 9.7 lbs. The brake lines reconnect to the manifold so you don't have to replumb the brake lines. The line will fit to the manifold just like reconnecting to the ABS pump. It's mainly for owners that are serious about weight reduction for drag racing/road racing..

Phil,
Quick question, where does the manifold bolt up to?
Thanks

It replaces that funky big hunk of metal all the way up front on the passenger side of the enginebay. Disconnect the brakelines and other stuff, remove the abs pump, attach the brake lines to the NEW manifold.
Purdy simple stuff, bubba.
Ya, I know that. The NEW manifold itself needs to attach somewhere. Does it attach to the old abs pump bracket and is the manifold drilled to do so?? Phil, if you could answer this...thanks

The manifold is held in place by how the brake lines are shaped. It is very light and once installed the 6 pre shaped brake lines hold it secure. If there is a problem, a simple single bolt/bracket could be made up.

Wild Bill,

Are those gay smiley faces and cartoons just for FFW touring boys with pictures in magazines or are those available to us local Yankee bracket racers that know nothing?

I don't feel a bracket is needed either.. But it may vibrate some, I think a simple tie wrap could be used.. I have not put the manifold to a real test, but hopefuly this weekend...

You could always use the old bracket for "bracket racing"..............

Re: ABS Pump Delete Brake Manifold

Finally took the Mach out for a test drive & all is good with the brake manifold I made. Braking is good and straight without locking up the front skinnies. I'm not going to need a manual proportioning valve..

No leaks from manifold connections!!

Cool, I was wondering if it could be removed with a tune, or maybe pulling a reference line out of the 'puter.

Re: ABS Pump Delete Brake Manifold

You might have to live with that light Phil. My ABS light comes on each time I start the engine and drive it for 3 miles or more, and stays on until I turn off the engine and restart it, at which time it resets itself, only to come on again within 3 miles of driving. The reason that this happens with my car is because I have the ET Streets on, and the ABS asensors are not reading the same speed at all wheels due to the difference in size on the front/rear tires. You can always take out the bulb if needed though, since you are no longer ABS equipped anyways. I asked my tuner about turning off the light and he told me that he couldn't.

Anyone have a usable wiring diagram to the PCM? I think you should be able to pull the ABS refrence line from the 'puter...but who knows.

Manny,

Your right, my ABS light has been on since last year when I pulled the rear sensors & exciter rings. Earlier this year I pulled the fuse to ABS pump & now just recently removed the pump. I may just remove the bulbs, I have the air bag & abs light that stay on all the time.
