Re: Are the '03 & '04 Mach 1s a real Muscle Car??

Maybe they were never really built as muscle cars in the 60's, but today they are all that is left of the muscle car breed. 4000 lb cars that got 8 miles to the gallon have gon the way of the dinos, thank emission controls and fuel prices for that one. All that really matters is this... we still have the big 3 and the power wars are back on!

Long hood & short decklid is a Pony Car but fits under the muscle car umbrella. A car with a truck-like wheelbase is not a muscle car, it's a land yacht. :p
So my 94 t-bird was a muscle car?

In theory, it fits the criteria but it started out as a sports car, then luxury boat, then a Nascar family car, discontinued, brought back as some sporty retro niche car. It would all be in the perception as the way it was marketed.
