Which tire?
I am putting a set of saleen 18x9 and 18x10 wheels on my Mach and can’t decide on a tire. I was thinking about the Toyo Proxes 4 but not too sure. What’s every one running? The car is mainly a sunny day spring, summer and fall kinda car. Maybe 2k miles per year

Re: Which tire?
The compound of the tire will depend on how much power the car makes and how you use it. For size, I use a 275-35 and 305-35 on 18x9 and 18x10. Those are the optimal widths and sidewall heights for a street car in my opinion.

Re: Which tire?
I have 17's, but I'll tell ya anyway LOL. I have Mickey Thompson Street Comps 275/40 and 315/35 (my rears are 10.5"0. They are a summer performance tire. They are okay, maybe decent for the price. As far as street traction, they are nice, good in the rain and corners. Drag strip traction is not so good IMO, especially for being a 315. They reason I won't go with summer tires for my next set is because I'll drive spring/summer/fall too. Where I'm located, it is often below the ideal temp outside for summer tires and they are understandably horrible under ~45°. I will get some all season performance tires and buy a set of tires for my extra set of 17x9's to go to the drag strip with. I just don't think the summer tires perform that much better than a good all season performance tire.

Re: Which tire?
I live in Connecticut where we have the cool spring and fall as well so I was thinking some kind of all season tire. I have basic bolt ons so nothing crazy as far as power goes.

If you can them in your size Michelin Pilot sport p4s are the best tire out right now imo.
