"Mach1" Embroidery on Headrests

Here are a couple of pics of my new "Mach1" embroidered headrests. There was a guy on here a while back that did this but he disappeared. I found this person,"Grant" , on another site and he was able to do them for me. I love them and he did a great job! If you are interested contact him for pricing. I just love the look!

Re: "Mach1" Embroidery on Headrests

I saw a Mach at a car show last summer that had that done. Probably by the same guy that went out of business. They looked excellent. If I remember right, you send him the headrest leather only, and NOT the whole upper headrest. They stitch it and send it back to you.

Yup, that's how it worked. That guy "G" at HRE was a cool guy and did awesome work and I was sad to hear he wasn't in business anymore. I even had him stitch "F150" into my truck's headrests and they were even better than the Mach's. But I am glad to know there is someone else out there doing this work.

CME, for the benefit of others, what did he charge?

Looks very nice! I am slowly adding a few accents to my interior to give it some Mach 1 identity. Papa Ford was cutting corners and saving cash when it came time to our interiors. I added 69 Mach 1 running horse emblems in the door panels, reflectors in the lower corner of the door panels so the open door doesn't get sawed off when opened, a few bright pieces on the console, and IUP silver paint on the door pull inserts to break-up the monotone door. What ticks me off is the lack of illuminated switches for night driving. No passenger can find any switch or handle in that dark interior.

Re: "Mach1" Embroidery on Headrests

I got my headrests back from Grant and I love them! The "Mach 1" looks great on the headrests. I took my Mach in to the Ford dealer on Saturday for an oil change the all the guys were looking at them and commented how good that looked.

Thanks Grant, I couldn't be happier with them!

Hello Grant. The look is great. What is the cost for the silver thread treatment? How long does the operation take? Thanks!

I'm interested in the headrest lettering too. What is the turnaround time and where are you located?

Hi, the Dupli-Color paint code match for the Mach 1 interior silver is: DSFM225 Medium Charcoal Metallic (UPC 26916 12225). I found paint at Auto Zone, but have since seen it at Wal-Mart for only a buck and change. One small can is more than enough to do the two. CLEAN and GREY PRIMER everything first, the plastic parts WILL NOT accept paint smoothly without it. Apply 3 uniform coats of color, followed up with a clear coat to protect the paint, because this gets handling wear. So, you need to buy Primer, Paint, and Clear Coat to do this right. Enjoy the new look.
