Looking for an event
Looks like our 1st hillclimb scheduled for next weekend is cancelled. So, I'm looking for an autox for this weekend.
Has to be in the NJ, PA, DE or even MD area. Thanks

Re: Looking for an event
Why did they cancel it?

Re: Looking for an event
I'm going to call the event organizer. If something needs to be done, we'll do it to make sure the event runs. I NEED TO RUN SOMETHING!!!!
Otherwise, we'll be running an autox next weekend in Warminster, PA. Not thrilled cause it's a crappy lot. But it's something. This is what I got as the cancellation: Fellow Racers and Hillclimb Enthusiasts, We are very sorry to have to contact you under these circumstance but it is with much regret that we are announcing the cancellation of the Rose Valley Hillclimb planned for May 2-3. This is not an easy decision as we know how much everyone was looking forward to restarting this event. We understand the extensive effort people have put into prepping their cars and the site for the hill’s return to the schedule. Despite the best efforts of all involved and considering many options, the planned pit area is not able to adequately support a quality event. We will be working with the registrar and PHA treasurer to ensure full refunds are issued to all preregistered participants. If you have any questions please contact either of us below.

Re: Looking for an event
We're in on this event:
https://www.motorsportreg.com/events...8#.VTroh_nF-So If you live in the Philly area and need something to do, come out and join us. If it rains, I'm not running. But it may as well be raining. Tires are trashed so it'll be a slidefest. Hehe. 180s optional.

I'll be in Kansas City next weekend or I'd come join you.

Re: Looking for an event
I would have loaded it on a trailer and brought it down. I have access to a truck and trailer anytime I need it as long as I give him notice and he's not using it.
I know exactly where the event will be held. I'm down that way several times a year. Was in the area 2 weeks ago.

Re: Looking for an event
We went to another autox yesterday and had a good time. The Weather was awesome and my driving, as usual at an autox, was dismal. LOL! But hey, we had a good time.
Philly Region SCCA hosted the event at Warminster Park in Warminster, PA. It was tighter than I liked but that's just me. My buddy Mike, in his camaro, went with us and brought a couple of guys with him. There was a huge mustang contingent. Everything from a '79 to a '15. It was fun to see so many at an event. Too bad we can't get that kind of attendence at a hillclimb. So here are a few pictures. My buddy Mike and I: Big right slide and a counter steer to keep it under control. Was a big drift as I'm doing a big sweeper to the left. FUN FUN and FUN!!!!! These A6s were trash. No traction and the car really rotated as the fronts stuck and the rears didn't. It was pretty funny.

Re: Looking for an event
You have to make it out to the mid west. Another track day this Saturday with Laps Inc. at Road America. There are events pretty much every weekend out here between Road America, Autobahn Country Club, Mid Ohio, Gingerman, and Blackhawk Farms.

Re: Looking for an event
Our series starts shortly so i'll get my fix! I like track days but they don't give the rush 140mph+ on a small windy road does.
I do appreciate the event notification and I'd love to come out there. Tear up that track and let us know how you do.

Re: Looking for an event
Unfortunately I won't be making it out there again this weekend. Went to RA last weekend and tore it up. Unfortunately, my pads/rotors didn't survive. Since the car is stored up at my parents house, I haven't had the time to get up there and change them out. Added some pics below.
Do you have any recommendations for a pad/rotor combo for the Cobra R brembos? I ran Hawk HT-10's last weekend. Like I said, rotors are gone and the pads have maybe 10% left in them (being generous).
