Fellow Mach 1 owner's if you haven't already or are on the fence weather or not to get on of these by all means get one before they are gone.

The quality is excellent and this piece is now my favorite off all the stuff I now have covering my walls.

One word of caution though. Make sure you remove the staples used to secure the plastic end cap on the shipping tube before you remove the poster. Almost tore mine.

How are ya'll matting and framing the print? I think a silver mat and black frame would look fantastic with the print's colors.

5Liter... mine is on the way (#49 = VIN). I was wondering the same thing about frame type and color, and mat color. It would be nice to hear from those who have their print already hanging on their wall.

Well I dropped it off at Michael's yesterday and I ended up choosing a blue mat very similar to the background color here on the Registry, and a wonderful contemporary aluminum frame. The frame is real metal, flat, and about 2 inches across. This was a good choice IMO because it compliments the colors in the print, and also because my decor is very contemporary. You may want to choose something a bit different based on the room in which you're going to display the print.

In case you didn't already know, be warned the materials and labor to have it framed will cost more than the print itself I knew that going into the purchase, but it still hurts the ol' wallet! I usually frame my own wallhangings, but I figure $100 for a limited edition print is enough of an expenditure to be worth the presentation expense. At least the glass included is UV resistant so the print will not fade over time, which is a very valid concern.

I won't get the print back for about 2 weeks, but if you still have not decided by that time what framework you'd like to go with, I'd be happy to take pictures of our finished product

received #405 today and I have to say it is extremly nice and now I need to think about a frame style
I thought maybe a metal frame, maybe a darker shade because the car in the middle is DSG and so is mine. I also wonder if the frame is engraved across the bottom with my "born on date" and my VIN number, if that would be cool or tacky. just a thought, anyone have any ideas
My main reason for the engraving idea is because my color is the center of attention
Thoughts?...

Instead of engraving the frame, maybe you could add one of the 'data' plates listed on the products page here. I think it would look good and you'll have a place for your VIN as well as the born on date. Just my .02...
