Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

It's been awhile, but assuming you see this, how is the car running? Did you have to grind the aftermarket tensioner bracket to fit under the the coolant crossover? And it is necessary to turn off the knock sensors in the tune or just leave them off the car without triggering a check engine light?

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

Got sidetracked this week and didn't get much done other than mounting the Heat Exchanger. I'm using a GT500 HE. I was able to shave the "wings" off the sides of the factory GT500 mounts and bolt the bracket to the bottom of the bumper. No need to take the bumper cover off this way. Note that the bumper will resist drilling of holes. It evidently is somewhat hardened steel so I went though several drill bits in order to put some 1/4-20 threaded inserts (same as Rivnuts). Added a brace on the passenger side to make it even stiffer.

Next up is the IC pump, which should be straightforward.

Back from, the dead. I haven't posted in a while haha. Doesn't seem like the question was for me, but mine is running great still. Only problem is traction. Just ordered some wheels and tires to help however and starting to consider an engine build for bigger numbers

That is beautiful. Wish I could say the same. Mine's not bad looking tho, and it is finally running. Seems great so far. The midrange torque with the 4lb lower is unreal. I'm planning to do a good bit of cruising and make sure it's dialed in.

Here's my headache.

I'm having to tear it back down cause I have a massive vacuum leak from the lower manifold to block area.

I bet you are having a the problem I had it was the wiring and knock sensors plugs keeps the lower intake from going all the way down. Be careful because I move the plugs around and got it to go down but it cut the wire to the knock sensors and kept poping fuses so I just swap to a 03-04 cobra wiring Harness so I wouldn't have any problems.
