28 or 31 Axles for me?

My 03 automatic is my DD with just a few passes a year and has minor bolt ons and 4.10's. With that in mind and no power adder or 3600 stall in sight, do I need to upgrade to 31 spline axles and differential? or will my stock track lock and maybe some stronger 28 spline axles be fine for launching at 1000-2000 rpms with ET Streets?

Re: 28 or 31 Axles for me?

I wouldn't bother with the 31s honestly at this point. If it was a stick car I might suggest otherwise.

Re: 28 or 31 Axles for me?

You should be fine with 28 spline.

Re: 28 or 31 Axles for me?

Since its along the same lines I'll ask it. Would a full bolt on car with 4.10's and something like a 4000 stall still be ok with 28 splines or would it be better to go ahead and step up to 31's?
