Service Engine Soon Light came ON
My Service engine soon light came on and I brought it to my dealer. They told me that the e-vac was leaking. whats an E-vac? is this bad? What causes this?

The EVAP is the purge system for the fuel tank. State laws for emissions don't allow venting into the atmosphere. That system is there to prevent that from happening. Silly question...Did the light come on after you had fueled up? Often a gas station atendant will not tighten the fuel cap and a code will set for an EVAP leak. It may not be the case, but a possiblity. Let me know the code they pulled and I'll try to help with the fix.

I will know more today when they call me. I filled up my gas friday afternoon. the light came on sunday night. I'll let you know whats going on later on today. Thanks!

clamp got loose on the hose and evap was leaking. Dealer said no biggie. They connected back the hose and tighten the clamp and no is all good. Service engine light now off. Problem solve.
