New Oxford White 5-speed
Well I drove my new Mach 1 home last night. What a car!! Hats off to FoMoCo!
The car came from a dealer aprox. 120 miles from where I live, so my dealer sent someone to go get it. This made me somewhat nervous until the car rolled up, and the man that was behind the wheel looked to be in his 60's. He said the car was pritty nice except for the hole in the roof that let the rain drip in, then laughed and waved bye. On the way home a late 80's Trans Am pulled into my blind spot and sat there for a few seconds and reved. Then shot about four car lengths ahead of me and flashed the brake lights. Poor fools if they only knew! I'll have to say it took alot of restraint not to educate them, but I had some family members in the car and it would not be a responsibe thing to do on public roads  . Drove the car some today, I think I got about 200 miles on it. I've been keeping the RPM's low, kinda takin it easy. I can't wait to really bust it loose! My last ride was a 2000 Dakota R/T with a K-Bell supercharger, and several other mods. It ran great, but I never liked an auto tranny, and no matter what they say a truck can never provide the same driving experience as a muscle car (in my opinion). I think this car's a keeper! |

WooHoo!!
I got my Oxford White Mach 1 today also!!! Was dark by the time I got home and it's parked outside so I haven't gotten a chance to stand back and admire it. Probably won't sleep tonight ;-)
I drove 5 Machs and chose this one. Didn't really thrash any of them but this one seemed to run the best. |

Congrats on the new Mach
White is an awesome color. Enjoy it but be forewarned, this car is addicting and causes you to spend money. Everyday you will check the registry to find out what is the coolest and up to date modifcations. There are so many threads with so much information. This place is an on-line dictionary/thesaurus/mechanics handbook with a multitude of opinions that you will truly cherish. And ALL OF US share your great enthusiasm for this car. Before long you will be talking to your wife and throwing "User Names" around just like talking about your neighbor. This place is great. Welcome aboard!

Besides I just don't feel right running the hell out of a brand new Mach 1 until it gets a few miles on it, even if I know i'm not buying it. Wait till mine's broken in properly then the killing shall commence. Although a vette could be out of my league I will admit. Mabye he'll find some of you guys!

I am eager to go against cars with equal or higher rated power. I like it to be decided on driving skill. Either way, you will have many miles of fun in your Mach. After a while, at least I did, I pick what car I run against. Rice is for a bowl, after it is fried with chicken. Welcome to the registry!
