Hello Registry, I pulled Mach out the barn yesterday and parked at my porch door since this morning I brought to the shop to have an aluminum DS installed. As I was looking at the car, I realized how far it has come from its journey when I bought it in September of 2003. I got to thinking...what was the first mod I did and figured it be a pretty cool thread to hear your stories. I had to really think back and I remember my first mod was a set of brushed aluminum letter inserts for the back bumper (my first AM order and after many $$$$ still ordering

) , or as a tie, getting the windows tinted.

My first mod was lowering springs. Put a set of h & super sports and rode it away until the real mod bug bit me.

Bassani catted X pipe. Told the wife I wouldn't mod it until it was paid off. I lasted a week. In my defense it was a leftover from my 98 GT.

Speaking of the wife. ..her first mod was hood struts and we were installing them 2 hours after we brought her car home.

The idle air restrictor mod so the RPM's would drop faster. Because shifting was not cool without it. As soon as I found a thread about it on this site I went and made one. Thank you M1R.

K&N drop in was the 1st. But the same week was Borla Stingers, Steeda 3 pt STD and full length subframe connectors.

The rest of the items in my sig are cosmetic mods (not counting the MRT shifter)

i dont know if Id really count window tint but that was the first thing done, followed by a pro 5.0 shifter

Window tint was done before I drove it home from the dealer then the next week I put some drag radials on it for a couple of track days, then magnaflows. Then nothing for maybe 4-5 years. Paid it off and possibly went a little crazy.

I have tinted the windows on all my vehicle purchases within one day of bringing it home. After that they usually all get an air filter and muffler swap.

Back when I first got my DSG car I bought a UPR o/r x pipe on day 2 and drove 4 hours to pick up a set of AFS DD Mach 1 wheels with the black inserts that were brand new for $500. And that was when they were still on a forever back order and people were selling them here for over $1k.

On the black car I have now it was my American Racing Headers long tubes and x pipe.

Took the Magnaflow catback off my Fox body and put it on the Mach the first Saturday after bringing home. I ordered some polished tips from MRT latter to finish it off.

AFS Mach 1 Wheels with the black inserts and 275 tires. I've only added a few other appearance mods and a K/N filter. Keeping my orange beauty mostly stock!!

My car is still mostly stock, lowering springs,afs wheels 17x9 with 265 tires fronts 17x10.5 back with 315 back. K+N air intake.

first thing I did to the Mach was a Steeda short throw shifter, had one in my 01 Mustang and could not handle the stock one in the Mach, got switch within a few days after I got her

I have a Honey Comb Panel in my closet that's been there for MANY years that I can't bring myself to put on.
