Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup

I cut out a pair of cylinder head exhaust port templates to match port the Kooks headers. The Kooks come pretty close matching to a stage 3 port job.

I just need to do a small amount of flange shaping, then I'll polish all the rough inside surfaces.

Man Phil....almost 5 hours to get that photo up. You're slippin'.

The only wires in the engine bay are those you see coiled on the master cylinder. They come out in the trans tunnel and will be hidden in the intake valley. Gonna need a pro-stock snorkel to clear that carb set up though!

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup

The custom stainless distributer hold down clamp that J. Chambers designed and I machined. This will give solid clamping to the MMR cam cover distributer drive design.

Finished port matching/smoothing the drivers side header.

Pic of passenger header vs the drivers header I finished. The rough porting from Kooks is pretty close to my Fox Lake Stage III exhaust ports.

Thanks!

Break-in with a 650cfm double pumper and see what the dyno tests show. Probably end up with 750double pumper for WOT track runs.

For the street, the 650 will probably do fine..

Re: Custom Intake Carbureted & Nitrous Setup

Ah. Im looking for all out power. I have a big bore and going stroker and BB next year..so I will be starting out with a 850-950 depending on what my carb/machine shop/drag racer buddy tells me to go with...

I hope to have mine running in a few weeks...

You did not whore up the thread...

I'm also going to be using a 1" Wilson CNC 4 hole tapered spacer which will help the carb flow additional CFM and atomize air/fuel much better at part throttle (street), to include WOT (strip). Also, it will help increase the atomizing of the nitrous/fuel when injecting thru the ZEX perimeter plate.

I still have the factory size valves/JE custom .005" over bore domed pistons 12.18:1 CR/Fox Lake Power products CNC stage III heads and went with Crower cams that will retain some low/mid range street manners, but on nitrous a whole different beast.
