Possible GT 500 Prototype

Hmmmmm? .... What might this do to a Hellcat?

Re: Possible GT 500 Prototype

I'm guessing it will do everything better than the Hellcat

I guessed Ford would do a cross plane crank version of the Voodoo and twin turbo it for the GT500. Still hoping I am right. Turbos are so much better than superchargers in efficiency and I am trying to imagine the tuning possibilities. Cool thing about turbos combined with electronic waste-gates and computers is being able to limit the boost in lower gears to help traction

I had a heavily souped up 86 SVO a while back and I used a dual boost boost controller to launch at 12 PSI when it hooked in 2nd or 3rd I would bush the button and boost shot to 20-22 PSI (when I had 100 octane). Imagine what a computer that knows what gear you're in could do for the GT500

The Turbo coupes had something similar, it would limit boost in 1st then let 2-5th have higher boost.

Yup. 1987 Thunderbird Turbo Coupes did that. I think boost was limited to 9 PSI in 1st and 2nd. They changed it to full boost in all gears for 88 if I remember right.
