Does anyone remember this experience: the car idle goes crazy-it stops.. the check engine light goes on. Could it be the mass air flow? If it is do you replace with stock or upgrade?

Could be but you need to scan for the code with an OBII reader if you can get to Autozone they use to do it for free.
