What tune to use.

I am leaning towards this. Bama 4-Bank Eliminator Chip w/ 3 Custom Tunes .
After a lot of reading the options to remove a 02 mil popping up are.

Mil eliminators 50 $ may or may not function.

SCT tuner $399 or used and unmarried and a dyno run at $500 per hour.

or a Bama 4-Bank Eliminator Chip w/ 3 Custom Tunes $269.

I only have a JTL rai and off road H so Im thinking a dyno tune would be a waste of money. The only thing I am worried about is if there is a possibility the bama tune can hurt my engine , like being too lean or,,,,.
Any advice would be great.

I did find this statement funny. Race Tune ! It is so aggressive that we do not recommend it for daily driving as it may cause your vehicle to try to jump out from a stop and easily spin the tires.

Re: What tune to use.

Keep the stock tune unless you want to get it tuned correctly. Mil eliminators work, I ran them with no issues.

Fwiw- i ran ported lower, lt's, o/r x etc on the stock tune and it ran great. of course, it ran better after a dyno tune.

Re: What tune to use.

1) I'd never run a bama tune on anything

2) I wouldn't use a chip. Updates require mailing it back, can't data log etc...

Re: What tune to use.

If your not looking to go crazy and spend a bunch of money, i would suggest finding a used sf3/x3 3015 model with strategy tunes and just use the preloaded tunes and shut off your 02s with that and gain a little power at the same time, these usually go for around $200, and preloaded tunes are extremely safe and allow you adjust many options yourself.

Re: What tune to use.

I'm late to the party but - forget a Bama tune. I friend put a wideband on his stockish mach getting ready for an Eaton swap, ran a canned Bama tune that came with his tuner just for kicks - it ran so rich it would smoke a bit running down the track at times. Stock tune ran better even with basic bolt ons...

Custom/dyno tune always seem to be the best option (from a reputable tuner).
