Went Ford Blue

So I decided to take the plunge and did blue side stripes on the black mach 1. I think it turned out great. What do you all think? Disregard the dirt and water streaks.

Re: Went Ford Blue

It's a Steeda race wing; supposed to be functional at high speeds to put downforce on the rear. I did get it for looks but am also turning the car into a road race/autox vehicle so if it helps a little so be it. They make two different ones for the factory mounting on 99-00 cars and 01-04 cars. Make sure you get the right one if you don't want to fill holes in the decklid. I painted mine a flat black to keep the original look. This is something you can easily do at home versus paying hundreds for a shop to do.

Yeah, the only reason I would get it would be for looks. I had plans for my car , but now that my son was born I figured I would give it a little style and pass it on to him.

kudos for the uniqueness -- it really sets the car apart from others that's for sure.

Re: Went Ford Blue

I really like that! I have a black mach as well, and the matte black vinyl just doesn't pop like I'd like. Where did you get this? Also, what's that lip on the front bumper?

Re: Went Ford Blue

I got the stripes from graphics-express. The front lip is a Roush stage 2 front valence which I got from stage3motorsports. Both companies were fine to work with, good quality, and decent shipping times. I painted the center section of my hood, the front valence, and the wing myself using a matte black paint. Turned out very well and I get tons of complements for a DIY job; although some people think it is plastdip which it is not.

Now I am itching for some new wheels. Looking at Saleen SC in silver, black, or chrome. I'd like to stick with 17" wheels and the same size all around so it looks like 17x9 for the size with a 275/40/17 tire. Any recommendations on which finish to get?
