Re: new to az

Welcome to the desert. Speedworld up in Surprise or Firebird down about Chandler is where most the racing gets done.

Check out www.highperformancestangs.com for some good local stuff.

Welcome to AZ. Just in time for summer. LOL Speedworld is the place to go. You can sign up here for a club day event on 3-10. Sadly I have a family get together that weekend, so I will have to wait till next time to meet you.

Re: new to az

Welcome!

The Pavillions is a large shopping area at Pima Rd. and Indial Bend Roads in Scottsdale (N.W. Corner behind the McDonnalds) It is the longest running weekly car show in the country. The term car show is used loosely.

For the north sidders we go to 83rd Ave. just south of Deer Valled Rd. If you try to go Google a map first. 83rd Ave. makes a couple of weird jogs that will mess you up if you are not ready for them. We get around 250 cars weekly. Scottsdale is more for the high$$ crowd. You know... the ones that drop off the car for restoration and just keep mailing checks to the shop. 83rd Ave. is more for the guys and gals that did their own work. I have yet to talk to someone who couldn't go on for hours about how THEY did their own work.

Speedworld on the 10th will be a good time and an opportunity to meet all the other Mustang nuts.

Re: new to az

There used to be one at 35th Ave. and Northern... but I heard it got shut down because some guy in a Vette backed over an old man that couldn't move fast enough to get out of the way.

I like pics that are uncluttered because it will need to be reduced way down. I used http://photobucket.com/ for these. After you upload a photo, resize it there to avatar size, copy it, then insert it on your Mach1 Registry user control panel avatar page. I use them for all my picture storing and file hosting, free too. Or.......... e-mail me the pic you want to use and I'll do it for you !
