High Frequency Vibration

Hey guys,

I just had a high frequency vibration show up out of nowhere. Anything above ~60 mph and it comes on. Can barely hear it, can't feel it in the steering wheel at all, but can definitely feel it in the seat. Not a violent vibration by any means but it is noticeable. I put in new Mosers and axle bearings about a year ago and my tires are balanced perfectly so I don't think it's anything that far back. My best guess now (until I get under it) is one of the universal joints/yoke. Could these be going out because of my uncorrected pinion angle? I lowered the car more than I intended but am really happy with how it sits. Car's 99,000 miles with Bilstein HDs, and Maximum Motorsports lower control arms. What do y'all think? Is there something else I check out?

Re: High Frequency Vibration

Couple things
when you lowered the car did you drive it on the high way up till now?
2nd
with that many miles on it and how hard its been pounded the u joints could be getting sticky.
Un bolt the drive shaft and rotate them around and see if they are smooth.

Re: High Frequency Vibration

I did the suspension maybe 20K miles ago so it has seen every aspect of driving. Today I'll be getting underneath it to scope things out and will update here. Thanks!
