Re: FYI on exhaust systems
I currently have a Mac O/R H-pipe, but every other piece of my exhaust system is factory stock. It actually sounds really good and is pretty loud.
My question is, has anybody ever taken a Mach 1 factory muffler apart? I want to know if it's chambered or straight through perforated with packing. I'd like to gauge how restrictive it is. Also, I heard that the Mach 1 got a "specifically tuned" exhaust for this model. What was made different about it? Main reason I'm looking into this is that my O/R H-pipe is 2.5" and my factory cat-back is 2.25" so I want to make it 2.5" all the way out the back by using an aftermarket exhaust kit. But, if the Mach 1 mufflers are actually really good then it may not be worth it.
