I hate the CCRM
Well...had a great day today. Drove to Conroe to an all Mustang Car show. Hung out there a while, drove home (great weather today). good 100 miles or so round trip. Went down to Otto's for the Saturday Cruise in and some BBQ. Fire up to leave. get about 1/4 mile down the road and the car starts stumbling...as if no fuel...get it into a parking lot safely and she dies....
won't fire...so...checked the inerita switch. all good...so I am banking on the old CCRM going bad...no fuel, no fire, no fans... 100$ part. Just glad I have a friend in the wrecker buisness... only the second time in 14 years she has left me stranded...

Re: I hate the CCRM
well...not doing the ccrm...pulled the codes.
p1233 p1237 pointing to the FPDM or the Pump itself. ordered a new FPDM from Ford. if that does not get the pump turned on I am going to go with a new pump. Not sure what pump to go with. open to suggestions.

Re: I hate the CCRM
before throwing parts at it you might wanna get a test light and a helper. Have someone turn the key and see if you get power to FPDM, if so do you get power out of the fpdm.

Re: I hate the CCRM
Its the pump. Bypassed the FPDM. jumpered 9-10 and 2-3
power to the 9-10 per the test light. pump not turning on... that means the CCRM is allowing power to the FPDM. FPDM is sending power out. Pump not turning... so now...to source a pump...

Re: I hate the CCRM
Try the Walbro TU229HP it is rated to operate at 13.5 volts and has a flow of 290 liters per hour @ 43 psi. Drops right in.

Re: I hate the CCRM
Appreciate the input.
That's the one I ordered. Lot of positive comments about it. should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to getting back up and running... Guess its time to start thinking forward about what parts to start collecting for the inevitable failures. April 17th is the car's 14year officially with me...Been a great ride so far...only two items have ever failed on her. The stock throw-out bearing disintegrated @ 6 years ago, and now the pump...

Is the CCRM basically the fuel pump relay? On my 88GT, the relay was under the seat. I used to have to tap it with a screw driver to get the relay working lol. I did that for a few days before buying a new one.
I've been writing down most of these part suggestions that end up getting used with success. I'm trying to make my life easier when my Mach starts having some issues lol. Instagram: @ab_mach1

Re: I hate the CCRM
Basically the CCRM or constant control relay module has a fuel pump relay in it. To the best of my knowledge.
If it's bad you should not get power to the fpdm which is what directly powers the pump. If I'm wrong on the order of things please chime in. But that's how I understand it. CCRM also has relays for the fans and Ecm if I am correct
