congrates, but you prob will have to use the caster/camber plates, don't go cheap do it right, good luck and post pictures, are you doing the install yourself?

Re: drop it like it's hot

Your cheating yourself if your not getting CC plates, it will cost more in wear and tear if you don't, and your sacrificing handling.

If your looking for Porsche handling, the Eibach pro isn't it. The pro kit has too soft of springs, but it looks great, and is awesome for a DD or the drag strip.

Re: drop it like it's hot

My alignments barely in without cc plates, and my suspensions stock. I want to pick up a set of cc plates so it doesn't chew up my tires......which is more expensive, 2 rt-615's or cc plates? Come on, do it right.

Re: drop it like it's hot

well i guess i'll start looking for CC plates lol. anyone know of any that are decent quality but wont set me back too bad? I know MM make good ones, as i'm sure steeda does too. either need a real good deal on those, or something cheaper.

by the way, ordered them yesterday from AM, and they're sitting infront of my garage 24 hrs later.....thats some **** quick FREE shipping.

i'm not looking for crazy good handling out of them. the mach is my DD, just wanted to get rid of that GRAND CANYON between the wheels and fender.

Count on the plates. I needed them with the pro kit. The springs ride fantastic btw. I went with the MM plates. Probably should get a bumpsteer kit from steeda as well.

when we did my first suspension list to get install was
-H&R super sports
-MM caster/camber pleast
-steeda bumpsteer kit
-steeda x2 balljoints
-steeda 2pt strut tower brace

made a hugh diff, but really for the ride once i got my Lakewood shocks/struts in the mach just handled azamzing and better than factory IMO

rest of my suspnesion is
-steeda full lenght sub frame connector
-lakewood shocks/strust
-upr non adj upper/lower control arms

thank that is it, could be missing something, had to take the steeda 2pt strut tower brace off (cuz of s/c) rear sway bar had to come off cuz of the FRPP diff cover

really i only have a couple of more suspension to do and i'm done with the mach

fairly new to suspension so....

is that what I need? seem like a good price?

also, what are some roundabout numbers as to what install should cost? I'm in maryland. and if u know someone or a shop, i'll take those recommendations as well! I have a friend of a friend that said he'd install for $200 (side work). doesnt seem like a bad deal, but also doesnt seem like a great one.

Well, its a 4 hour job for a good mechanic. So he'd be working for $50 an hour. Unless you are going to outsource it to some developing country, you won't find it less than that.

+1 Definitely get the CC plates, take it from me I learned the hard way and just recently purchased the mm cc plates. It will cost you more down the road like mach828 said.

i would say go with the CCplates and go ahead and do it right it will be a waste and time if those bolts don't work out for him and then he will have to go ahead and order the CC plates

chite most places are like $90 bucks a hour, its insane, but they have to make there money some how, i myself would rather save the money on most things and do em myself like i have, save that little extra money that would go on labor

For CC plates? It took me like an hour and a half then off to get an alignment. nbd

As far as the Pro kit springs go, they handle well, better than stock mach, gt and cobra stuff. They ride better than stock imho. They are progressive so you dont get beat up truck ride on small bumps and normal road nonsense yet they set into a corner fairly well. You get a nice drop. Kind of ends there. They certainly are not race springs. I had tokico race springs in for a week and then out they came. Completely unacceptable ride.

Re: drop it like it's hot

I would just throw the springs in and see if it can be aligned. Take it from me who actually has these springs..i put these in and was able to align it within specs...about 18k later i have absolutely no uneven wear on my front tires..i've since taken the top and bottom isolators out and still dont have any uneven wear on the tires. But what do i kno lol

Lol no for the whole job. Install springs and the CC plates. It took me about 5 hours for everything.

So with previous experience, I'd say 4hrs should be about right.

______

And if CC plates weren't really necessary, then you wouldn't see every Mustang performance shop selling them or companies making them.

Re: drop it like it's hot

I had a full tubular QA-1 setup on my 5.0 and loved it. Coil overs, CC plates, and it rode hard but not terrible. It felt like that car was on rails though. Nice part is a twist the coil over nuts down for a mean look at the show and screw them back up and away you go.
