Re: 3 cars diffrent makes
Nope. Our house we have a ram 1500, Nissan vesa note and then the wife’s 16 mustang GT convertible. Then we also have my 04 Mach1. As far as the daily’s we are all over the place but when it comes to the toys we are die hard mustang 😋

Not weird at all. Now is the first time I’ve ever owned 3 cars of the same brand, that I intended to keep. I’ve never seen one brand’s line up that made want to buy just their cars/trucks. There’s just too many cool cars out there from everyone; to be confined to just one brand.

Nothing wrong with that, I’ve gone to infiniti for my daily driver, company vehicle is a Chevy, and I’ve still got a couple mustangs in the garage. If the fusion were RWD I’d have gotten it instead of the infiniti since I still prefer having a RWD car over a FWD.

Re: 3 cars diffrent makes
I think it might be an age thing.
I'm over 55. Grandad worked for Ford for something like 40 years. Dad owned Mercs and Fords from about 1962 through 1983. Learned from Dad. At my house is a 1987 5.0, 2003 Mach 1, 2007 Merc Grand Marquis, and a Chrysler Town and Country. (Wife wanted a mini van, and we weren't diggin' the looks of the Transit. Went for the next best thing that was U.S.). When he was still livin at home, oldest son had an F150. Have also had a Topaz, an Escort and an Explorer. Have had some other U.S. cars - Couple Pontiac mini vans, and a Pontiac wagon. Only foreign car ever was a Mazda minivan when Ford owned like 50% of Mazda. Any other brand loyal folks? I'm guessin' you were born before 1966...?? |

Re: 3 cars diffrent makes
Until the last three years, I bought Ford vehicles exclusively - since my dad only bought Fords his entire life, I think I inherently became brand loyal.
Or maybe the fond memories of Bill Elliott tearing up NASCAR in his Thunderbird back in the '80s. The first car my wife bought after we were together was a Ford because she said she was afraid I would not work on it if she bought something else. Now she drives a Mazda. My son drives a GMC Sierra. It is still a really nice truck that has clocked over 220K miles and the only thing we have replaced is the water pump and EGR valve. And the exhaust, but that was voluntary. _ |

Ive only had Fords but I did shop around on things. I was going to seriously consider a Chevy/GM truck when I replace my 2012 F150 but the new ones are so ugly I changed my mind!. I do plan to go drive a range of cars/suvs before plunking down 60/70k on another F150 but I have a feeling it'll be another Ford...this one just might say Raptor though

Re: 3 cars diffrent makes
I've been mostly brand loyal over the years. I still prefer Fords for the most part, but it's mainly an American brand loyalty. I've never owned an import, even when they started manufacturing them here in the states. My wife really wants a Forester or Outback, so that may be the first time I give on that. I believe the age thing definitely coincides with American brand loyalty. I was born in 68. I still view Honda's, Toyota's, Nissan/Datsun's etc as the cheap economy junk it was back in the 70's and early 80's, no mater how nice their cars are now lol.

Turbos are good systems when properly set up. Power band and delivery is a lot different the a PD Blower. My Slantnose is pretty nasty on mild boost.
