Vinyl or Stainless Steel inserts

So I'm going to buy black inserts for the rear bumper but I'm not decided on which ones. I'm looking at the matte black vinyl or the black stainless steel ones. Which ones do you like better and why? I'm kind of leaning towards the black stainless steel ones. Really close up pics of the stainless steel ones from different angles would be appreciated. I have never seen the stainless steel ones in person. I hear there is a very small gap between them and the bumper because of the curve of the bumper.

No Tag T? LOL When I wrote mine down as an option, I put spaces in it. NOT A GT

If possible, could you take a close up shot at an angle?

Re: Vinyl or Stainless Steel inserts

I had the reflective vinyl on mine but in time the edges started to roll, so I went with the Plastic Black molded ones from CDC. They also fit edge to edge and what I like about them, the edge are rounded smooth and very glossy and a little flexible so very easy to put on. However, they were a little pricy at $60.00 but they have been on "Hollywood" for 6 yrs and still look new. The only problem thou is I am not sure CDC produces them any longer, so I guess the next best thing is go to stainless, but if you can still find them.. check it out..

Re: Vinyl or Stainless Steel inserts

Here you go, remember they are thicker than vinyl (I am not a measurement guy, they are the 1st three marks on tape), 2 pics from side,( hard to take, best I could do), you can see they are fairly flush compensating for the thickness and one pic looking straight down the bumper to see how far out they stick, hope it helps.

I did a search but I could not find these anywhere. They must have discontinued them. Thanks for your input.

Pics are just what I was looking for! Thanks. I think it looks pretty good. I think I will go with Stainless over vinyl. It has more of a 3D look to it and it doesn't stick out as far as I thought it would. Thanks for the pics!!!!

Re: Vinyl or Stainless Steel inserts

I ordered the black stainless steel ones from AM. They were on sale and I get them for $37.99 and that was with our 5% discount. They are normally $49.99.

If I would have gotten the vinyl ones, I would have gotten the matte but I think I will like the steel ones better.

Re: Vinyl or Stainless Steel inserts

GRRR. I ordered my inserts last Wednesday and it said same day shipping and they were in stock. They said 2 - 4 days shipping. I just got a notice yesterday that they were finally shipped and they are in NJ as of today. They should have been here by now!!!! Free shipping so I guess I can't complain too much.
