Guided Hunts Anyone

Guys, I am currently 22 years old, and i am wanting to do a guided hunt for elk around my 25th birthday, I was wondering if anyone has done guided hunts, or what to look for when i start looking around for these, or what states would be best for it. I do hunt whitetail in Iowa, but i am wanting to try something different, and it would be a hell of a trip for my father and I. Any input is much appreciated.

Re: Guided Hunts Anyone

A guy I use to hunt with use to go up to Canada with bout 9 other guys bear hunting. I think it was like $1800 ea for 10 days, which isnt all that bad. The thing I didnt like was he said they dropped them off in the morning and didnt come back until dark. So he had to sit in a tree all day long. And from the why he talked, he was WAY back up in the mountains. I think they had radios or something if they need help or shot something. Must ve been fun though bc I know they went like 5 yrs in a row.

I want to do a boar hunt.

Hunting with Uncle Ted would definitely be a 'bucket list' item.

Re: Guided Hunts Anyone

I'm leaning towards going elk hunting, with a few years after that, hopefully going moose after that.
