Paint

Thinking of biting the bullet and getting the Mach painted. Unfortunately she's lived outside the 8 years or so I've had her and she's looking pretty rough.

I've been mulling the idea of taking to Maaco. I know, I know....crazy. But from looking at reviews from all the local body shops around me, they actually get the best reviews.

Was thinking of their Platinum package which comes with a 5 year warranty.

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on a Maaco paint job.

Run away...they are crappy paint jobs. Prep isn't there and attention to detail is lacking. They tape and shoot instead of properly disassembling and prepping.

Re: Paint

They can paint pretty good.... but do all the body work and prep work then let them just spray it.

Re: Paint

We have a Fact - O - Bake nearby that has become a go to place for paint of late. If the people, especially the management, wants to be a quality paint shop, it will be. Look at some of their work and get referrals, especially car club members if you can.
