Engine Cut out then died
I got on my car a little and then it started sputtering and died like it ran out of gas. The car started right back up and drove fine but scared me that something really bad was wrong with the car. Any thoughts?

Re: Engine Cut out then died
Mine did something very similar before it blew. Hope yours is OK. I am sure it is not the same issue, mine was a bent valve. Anyway, good luck with your car.

Re: Engine Cut out then died
I checked for error codes and there was none. It did puff a little smoke the next time I started it. Should a do a compression check?

Re: Engine Cut out then died
do you have a cold air and it died when you let up? mine did that with the K&N before the tune.

Just kidding, does it seem any short on power? Smoking? Anything leaking from under the car? Did you check oil?

Re: Engine Cut out then died
it did use about 1/2 quart of oil and that has never happened before. I reloaded my tune and everything seems ok and it is not smoking during start up. This still has me very concerned since it did use a little oil. Do you think I should just change it now?

Re: Engine Cut out then died
It was a little cold on the way in this morning but nice on the way home. it was about 68 today. Here is a photo of my boy on my bike. I changed out the windshield for a little larger one which is much nicer when riding without a helmet.
