Rolled fenders

I have 18x10inch rims on the rear and I bought some wheel spacers just to make it look a little better and I noticed severe tire damge on the sidewall of my tires. How do you roll your fenders or where can i take it to get done

Re: Rolled fenders

I bought this tool:

http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?i...emType=PRODUCT

and rolled them myself. Turned out very well and no more rubbing.

Re: Rolled fenders

Buy the tool unless you feel confident enough to use a baseball bat. I've done the bat method a few times and it works, but I wouldn't do it on a Mach.

Re: Rolled fenders

If you think this is just a one-time deal, instead of buying a tool, you may want to consider renting one. There are several places that rent them for around $50/3 days. I just Googled "fender rolling tool rental" and several sites came up.

Re: Rolled fenders

Take a close look at where it hits...it may rub even after rolling. Remove the spacers!!

Re: Rolled fenders

Here is what I posted on the local mustang club's forums.. I rent it out to local members for $50 CDN for an agreed-upon time (few days to a week)... *almost* paid for.. 3 more rentals and it'll be paid for

-----------------

The tool assembles pretty easily as there are only a few things to put together:

It bolts to your wheel hub with the included dished washers and your lug nuts:

The results were perfect. I heated the fender lip constantly with a heat gun and did not crack the paint.

Hope that helps...

Chris

Re: Rolled fenders

Maybe a before and after because I don't know I am looking at. I am not looking to do this, just always wondered what it was, how to do it and what it did really.

Re: Rolled fenders

I dont have a before pic.. maybe someone else can post it up. Basically, look at that last picture. The part of the fender facing the tire, that is now rolled straight up. Before, it came out horizontally (parallel with the ground) about an inch or so. What I did was used the fender roller to flip it right up so the tires stopped rubbing on it and so it stopped cutting my **** tire
