I think 3 of the 4 motors had these on them so they must be a Ford or Ford SVT item. I had never seen them before this, but they work great and are very sturdy.

I stand corrected, they mount up right under the valve cover to a set of bolt holes.
You should sell me a set.

Those lift brackets are gold. If you can get a set do it.

I'll be going over there today, let me see if there is a part number. I'd like to keep my set but I'm supposed to get more of these motors. I really have no idea what they would be worth.

I'll be patiently waiting on news of you getting more, motor is still getting built so I am in no real hurry but it sure would be nice to have a set.

Here are some clearer pictures, I couldn't find part numbers on either one. I am supposed to get more of these motors later this week. If they have any more of these brackets I will take them off and sell them on here. Right not about the best I could do is rent them out.

There was a guy on here along time ago that had a bead roller that he lent out to other members. If I remember right he would hold a deposit and you pay all shipping there and back. When he got the roller back he returned your deposit.

I can let everyone know later this week. What would people be willing to pay if I can buy a couple of sets?

I'd love to grab a set of these, but I also want to assume I don't have to pull my engine again any time soon. Haha

This is how Murphy works, if you buy them then you will never have to pull the motor, but if you don't buy them...

Re: TKat13's Mach1 Build Log

While I wait on my pistons I figured I would properly install my Temp Gauge. I will use a switch to flip between Water temp and Trans temp. I really hate having to add a gauge but it is really needed based on our crappy gauges, err, idiot gauges.

I started with a 2" PVC pipe and shaped it to fit in the location I wanted with the angle so I could trace with a sharpie and then make the cut with a 2.25 hole saw. A little trimming and then the pipe slid in.

The purple is a PVC pipe primer, helps with the plastic epoxy adhesion. I am sure it is not needed but this ensures a solid contact point.
Here is the back side:

I set the angle with the 'wet' epoxy while in the driver's seat to get the exact angle I wanted.

Next I cut out some ABS plastic I picked up on Amazon. Just marked the points where the shifter butted next to it. I then epoxied those in. ABS is easy to work with, just a slight cut of the razor blade and bend it out.

Re: TKat13's Mach1 Build Log

Here is the top shot of the ABS plastic pieces.

Next on the list was filling in the cigarette lighter hole, grabbed another hole saw and cut it out of the abs plastic, it was to big so put in on the end of a drill and spun it down on sand paper until I got the right size. Epoxied that in next.
I used blue painter's tape on the other side to set the proper depth of the plug.

Added the body filler and after an hour of sanding I had the first test fit.

Now grabbed the pit filler and another 2 hours of sanding.

More red pit filler and another 30 minutes of sanding.

Re: TKat13's Mach1 Build Log

This is the latest stage, I grabbed some cheap silver paint I already had and sprayed it to find any missing pits, etc. There is another hour or two left of pit filling and then I will spray it with the proper silver paint from LMR.

This gives the idea of what it will look like, next I will have to sew up a leather shift boot, this will fill the void that is left. Not yet sure if I am going to tackle this myself or have a pro sew one up.

Thanks guys. I have decided to give the boot a go. I bought a sewing machine for my daughter a few years ago and she never did anything with it so I will dust this off and teach myself how to sew! My mom is a master with sewing, has all the high dollar equipment and even an embroidery machine so hopefully next time she is in town I will get a refresher course. Mom is the same with sewing as I am with cars, we both have been known to go overboard, but she does have more restraint. lol

Re: TKat13's Mach1 Build Log

Since the last post, I have since sanded it down, filled in more pits and finally re-painted the bezel the correct color from LMR.

This picture is after the dark silver spray and cutting the hole for the switch. This shows a fine tape along the edges for a sharp paint line.

Taped up and ready for the charcoal paint.

Sprayed.

Tape removed and now you can see the color differences.

Re: TKat13's Mach1 Build Log

Couple of shots in the car. The switch controls the temp gauge, switches between coolant and trans; lights red when selected to Trans and green when selected to coolant.

Next on the list is to sew up a shift boot. This will be my first sewing attempt. YIKES! I bought a yard of black vinyl to practice with before I sew up some charcoal leather. If it turns out well, I will post a how-to as well.

Re: TKat13's Mach1 Build Log

Very nice, shift boot is easy, I did mine out of microsuede, just leave extra fabric for bottom of bezel and you can use off color thread to make it pop, leather probably a shade harder, but hell, with all you have done, this will be cake

I went with a double stitch

your boot looks great! I hope I can sew straight enough to use an off color thread. I think making the pattern from scratch will be the toughest part.

Picked up the up motor last night! Installed the transmission and the wiring harness. Forgot how cramped it was in the garage.

With Harness and motor mounts installed.
