Original battery finally gave up the ghost
Well, it's been 15 years and 8 months since my Mach hit the pavement, and my original, faithful battery has finally breathed it's last breath. I can't believe that it's lasted this long.
It was a sudden death, with hardly any warning whatsoever. I guess I did notice that it seemed to crank over slightly slower over the last couple of months, but never seemed to struggle. Then yesterday- nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions about a replacement? Anyone else have their original battery?

Re: Original battery finally gave up the ghost
****, the OE batteries were good but that's crazy. I haven't had as good of luck with the battery in my 2012 f150. Ive been through 3-4 because the damned positive terminal kept separating and pulling up.
here in FL you only get 3 years out of most batteries so we just buy whatever that has free replacement for at least 3 years.

Re: Original battery finally gave up the ghost
NAPA does a good battery. And if you didn't notice, on these cars when the battery has low voltage the gauges do a full sweep on start up.

Re: Original battery finally gave up the ghost
When I traded my Mach1 in, in 2010, it was still the original battery. It was till going strong. My 2011 Shelby original battery lasted 4 years.
