Minor update:
Driver side window glass in in permanently, after the window regultor was adjusted. New inner and outer door top weatherstrips installed. Cowl panel weatherstrip installed. Cobra trunk light, and windshield cowl panel with windshield washer jets and hoses installed. Hope to have passenger side window glass installed in the next week or so. Still need windshield and rear glass. Slow but methodical progress being made. Took her around the block yesterday. Car drives incredibly well. Smooth as glass, great throttle response.............................

Yeah, it's currently a slow process, but moving along.
Still need the two parts that bolt to the floor, which hold the rear seat bottom to the floor. Also need complete black radio antenna setup. After that, it's pretty much all up to Al for the motor,(and me providing the necessary funds to him) and whomever is going to paint the car. One thing I am not skilled at in any way is paint and bodywork. I am constantly amazed how well the car drives, and the ride quality has exceeded my highest expectations.

Hey Steve quick question too remove the side scoops do you have to unbolt them from inside the car or no.............I'm gonna put Bullitt side scoops on it, just wondering if it's a PITA as well??????????

Believe it or not, I have all my motor parts in the Mach.
I have the running engine still in the Project car , but have another block, crank, timing cover, etc. in boxes in the Mach. The 5.4 block (brand new) is in the trunk. This coming week I will bring it to Boss330 racing for Al to work his magic. The cylinder heads are already there. I suppose you could say my Mach has 2 engines now! A 5.4 and a 4.6. Added note: I have another Boss intake on the way...................... Once it gets here, I will have 3.

Installed the passenger door glass today, works fine.
Also, updated the alternator bracket with a modified factory part from an 07 S197 Mustang. Looks a little cleaner than the original design.

Hello, new to the site. This thread is what interested me. I am currently going through a 5.4 DOHC conversion. I have a 98 v6 that I am transplanting it into. I already have the 8.8 installed and I have the 5.4 DOHC from a 2003 Lincoln Navigator, 97 auto trans, 97 cobra wiring harness with computer and the master brake cyclinder. I know I need an intake manifold as well. What I am worried about is how the power steering pump and the ac fits onto the 5.4 in the car. I saw that you were putting together a kit for this. Could you post the parts list? Or are you saving this to put in the kit?

I am pretty much finished developing the kit. Small revisions have been recently made, such as the alternator bracket. I will have several Aussie Boss 290 intakes shortly. I still want to develop long tube headers for the kit. That will take time and $$$. I want everything to bolt in, literally.

Small progress made today.
Lower AC condenser mounts, grille deflectors, radio antenna all installed. Engine block, crank, timing cover, etc. dropped off at Boss330 racing Thursday night. I had the engine block in the trunk of the Mach !! It went in easy enough, but getting it out was another matter. Al saved the day by lifting it out with a cherry picker. He must think I am insane, but I had to get it into his hands! So, I suppose, for a while, I had a 5.4 in my Mach. Progress is progress.

Spent some time on her today.
Kyle and I replaced the upstream (green) O2 sensors. I kept getting a SES code (slow O2 response) so I replaced them with 2 new Motorcraft parts. The ones that were in there were used. I thought the motor was responsive before but......................... Whoah Nelli !!!!!!!!!! Holy Canoli !!!! Hard to let the clutch out without leaving marks now. Major, major difference in response and power. Took it around the block again, and dang! Want torque? Get a 5.4. This thing with a totally stock Navi long block will KILL my Mach. Now I am REALLY looking forward to one of Al's longblocks. Ford should have put this motor in the Mach 1. Edit: over 35k hits on this thread. Amazing.

The parts are somewhat pricey, but not as $$$ as a blower, and a lot easier to work on. Instant, tire shreading torque. (Insert best Tim Allen grunt here => ) ..................

Did a few minor things to the car yesterday.
John (ScreeminMach) and my Buddy Jim from Naples stopped by. Took the car around the block a few times, and asked for opinions, , had some Mt. Dew, etc. Car is running great and drives great. Jim's Aussie intake showed up last week so he stopped by to check it out. His 98 Cobra will be getting a Boss330 5.4 transplant later this year. We hope to have a small 5.4 contingent at the Steeda Stampede next year. There were NONE this past year, except for the Shelby's.
