Is it wrong to change the exterior color of your Mach 1? - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

Hello I’m new to this forum and I haven’t really learned how to use it and I’ve been looking all over for this question but no luck. I bought a 2003 Mach 1 zinc yellow with 96,000 miles on it.it is pretty beat up and needs work. I will be taking it to the shop to do head work since previous owner overheated. But my question is it frowned upon other Mach 1 owners if I were to repaint the car to torch red?

Honestly and IMO, I do not see a problem with painting it any color you want to, just don't take the shaker off. lol.
I've seen a few Mach's that have been done in different colors than factor and think they look great. I am just shocked that you would be picking a factory color to switch too.
IMO I don't see a problem with it.

Yea i'm not a ZY person myself. I loved my SY mach I had

depends on who you ask, I say no. I agree with those above, wasn't impressed at all with ZY, pretty much anything is an improvement

What I said was a little too harsh. There’s probably people that love the color, but when compared to Screaming yellow I don’t see a comparison.

With anything there will be people that like it, but I know it is not for me.

General two rules and only 1 has to apply.

Its ok to change the color if:
1. Its yellow
or
2. Its your car.

Make it the way you want it and enjoy it.
