Eaton Swap / Alternator Question(s)...

Hey guys!

We are in the middle of our Eaton Swap on our 03 Mach 1 and I'm a little confused on some of the wiring..

We have the Cobra Engine Harness, Intercooler Pump, and just ordered the Cobra one for the Alternator/battery set up...

I understand that you can extend the OEM Mach 1 engine harness Alt. plug & Wiring to work, but I thought it would be better (simpler?) to have all of the "Cobra" stuff so everything was plug-n-play.

My question is this: Is there anything we need to be looking out for in terms of wiring ... this project has already been taking way too long and I'm just trying to eliminate any more potential delays as we've already had to back off our dyno tuning appointments twice now..

Thanks
Rick

It's easier to keep the Mach 1 harness and computer. This thread will get you there. http://www.mach1registry.org/forums/...ad.php?t=71833

Do you have to change the computer if you're using Cobra harnesses?.. I did read through some of that previously.. but man there's a LOT there..

The computers and harnesses are specific to each other. That's why they're made differently. If a Mach 1 computer could control a Cobra harness, Ford would have never made a Cobra computer. It would have been money wasted and never approved.

You should read the threads that have been made. Your answers are in there. The member who wrote them took a lot more time writing them than you will reading them. You can think of it as a rite of passage lol.
