headlight trim rubber

Anyone know where I can find the rubber trim that goes around the top outside of the headlights? need the driver side one, seem to have misplaced it when I pulled it off so it did not fly off while I was driving. smh.

Re: headlight trim rubber

Can you salvage the one off of the old light? I doubt you can buy it separate, but one off of an old light might be an answer.

Re: headlight trim rubber

bristol16 that is very kind of you, but I was coming on here to update and say I found the one that I misplaced.
Thank you so much though that is very kind.

Well when you misplaced something, what is the best thing to do??? Go back to the places that it could have fell out.
No joke, i must suck at putting stuff behind the driver seat, but I will say the seat belt doesn't roll back up easy, so i think when I pulled the seat belt the little rubber part came out. I was on my way to pick up my boys and it would have been flapping around, so pulled off and pulled it off, just glue it on later.
Well I thought it was worth a shot, because it was by the highway at the entrance of a shop, so happy it was still there.
I cannot believe that one cannot buy these part just buy themselves. crazy and learn something new.

glad it all worked out! i couldn't even find an EGR tube for mine when i needed it, small trim pieces like this are going to be harder and harder to track down. fortunately a lot of new edges were made so we at least have a chance with the parts that cross over between trim packages.

Re: headlight trim rubber

Honestly, if things were different for me right now, I would have just bought some new ones and called it a day, but just finding some OEM ones that were in good shaped worked for me.
Down the road I am sure I'll have to buy new ones, because these will start having issues down the road.

I had the company that did the lights in my Camaro build me a custom set for my Mustang. Real HID projectors fitted into customized housings. The previous owner had cheap headlights with tint on them so these are a huge step up in performance and look amazing. I just installed them three nights ago, that’s why I have the spare set of headlights kicking around right now.
