Guess jimmy should have slammed the side of the car into a wall like he told him to do with the rear spoiler if they win a race. Wonder why he would have said that?

Matt wins. The Ford's do GREAT, Jeffy blows up, JJ hits the wall and takes out D.P. so we did'nt have to hear about her ALL NIGHT. Now more trouble for the 48 team. Now if we could get rid of DW and his brother, little DW. Life would be SWEET.

Re: NASCAR thread
I just looked at the points standings.
JJ is 49th out of 49 with -23 points. (that's NEGATIVE 23 points)

Re: NASCAR thread
Except Robbie Gordon, and Ford wants nothing to do with him.

Re: NASCAR thread
What's with all the hate for Robbie Gordon? I'd rather hang out with him for a day than most of the other corporate geeks the NASCAR guys have turned into.

Re: NASCAR thread
Having worked with people at Ford who dealt with him personally,
he is alleged to be one of the most arrogant know it alls of all time, ranking right up there with Jackie Stewart, whom I have met. If he is like JS, I do not blame Ford at all.

Re: NASCAR thread
Hmmm, if he's as big of a hind end as Jackie Stewart, then it would make for a long day, cause JS is an azz. I was thinking a day with Gordon would be all jump ramps, mud, crashes and maybe a fight or two, the kind of thing you barely survive and then laugh about the rest of your life.

Re: NASCAR thread
Robbie gordon is one of the most useless POS on the nascar circuit, how he can start a race and park after 5 laps is beyond me, should let someone who actually CAN race the full race instead of him.
Although, a few years back he called Michael Waltrip a piece of sh** on a live race telecast, so he has some credibilty lol.

Re: NASCAR thread
A co-worker today told me that some lady was commenting on the Nationwide race and she made a reference to Danica Patrick getting tapped alot. She then said she wondered how many guys would want to tap that azz. She got suspended. What a double standard. If a guy had said that he would have been crucified, then fired.

Re: NASCAR thread
I think she was a commentator, so it was live on tv, or maybe radio.

At the Ford test track we had a PA system which had a built in delay. 'Eeetts a fiiine moah cah" once came over the facility while JS was there. Hysterical. Guy is like 4 ft 6 and that stupid hat all the time. Also, my gf was there with her daughter when JS was there, and she knew JS was "someone" but didn't know who. She asked me out loud (HE heard it) "Is that Mario Andretti?" I heard later from the site supervisor that JS was pizzed, but the Boss and I had a good laugh at his expense. It used to drive me nuts, Ford using JS for commercials, when he had done nothing in racing for over 20 years. I thought FoMoCo should have been using Bill Elliott or Rusty Wallace at the time.

Re: NASCAR thread
Nice. It was good to see Mark run his usual clean race. I'm sure Ricky was a little star struck on the last restart.
Hope this is a good indicator of the Cup race tomorrow.

Re: NASCAR thread
seems as though Doug Yates is at least as good as his father.
#6 pulled away to a near 5 second lead in 20 laps ahead of Martin. Gotta love that.

Re: NASCAR thread
I know there was a black and gold Shelby '50th' anniv. N'Wide car on display at the Vegas Shelby facility. Was hoping to see it on the track. Did I miss it or did it just not run the race?

Re: NASCAR thread
So I'm watching the encore presentation of the Nationwide race, and they said bayne WON'T be running bristol due to no sponser? WTF is Roush doing that they can't get a sponser?!?!?! Like, If robby gordon can secure a sponser, I'm sure good, winning driver's should be able to get one...
