How To Change An Automatic Into A 5-Speed???
I made a mistake in buying an automatic and i'm unhappy with it, cuz i've had issues with the trans. and i miss having 5-speed manual. I don't have the option to sell or trade, so if i'm going to be stuck with it i want to eventually convert it to a 5-speed manual. Can anyone help me out with what all i would need to make this happen, Thanks.

You can start with a transmission, bell housing, clutch, flywheel, pedal assembly, center console with automatic shift handle, a computer reflash. Others will add, I'm sure.

Re: How To Change An Automatic Into A 5-Speed???
What specifically are you unhappy with in your automatic? I love mine. I bought mine with an auto in it and last year upgraded with an auto I bought from Darrin at BC-Automotive (member here in the board) with a 3500 stall converter. I am spraying a 100 shot with it and am deep in the 7's in the 1/8 mile. It is like stock on the street. I wouldn't have it any other way.
What is your tranny doing that isn't right? Will be a LOT cheaper to fix the issues than swapping out for a manual. If you go to the track an auto will always be more consistant. Not necessarily slower either. I beat manual cars all the time.

Im on the same bus, I loved it at first when I got it but, I just got plain bored of auto. I have the option to sell but I wont find one for the price it would sell for. If I had the choice to pick, I would have obviously gone with the manual.

The crank shafts in the engines are different (one on the manual is stronger).
