Re: Back in the day members

Still here also, I followed the site since I bought my first comp orange Mach in 04, I finally joined 8/7/2005
I have been without a Mach since 2009 but just bought my third one!!
I bought a 2004 comp orange new then let a friend talk me into selling it to him, missed the car and bought a 2003 red one in 2007 with 700 miles, let another person talk me into selling them that one also and just purchased another 2003 red one with 3000 miles!!
Glad to be back in a Mach, I have a few cars but the view out the windshield looking at the hood with the shaker is one of my favorites!!

Not a posted in a long time, but still lurking original owner that started on this site in Feb. 2003. Car has about 8,200 miles on the odometer, bone stock. Still have the '69 Cobra Jet Mach 1. Going to have to get more involved here. Something from my work sparked a thought about Frank McKnight this morning. Miss that guy. Hard to believe we are coming up on 6 years since his passing.

Hey Mark, good to see a post from you. Both of your Mustangs are exceptional, just really love the 69 and the color... Going to Carlisle??

Yes, making the annual pilgrimage to PA. Made last year but didn't find the Mach's. Saw Bill on Sunday morning picking up trophy for my truck.

Re: Back in the day members

New edge Mach1's will be near building T, which is near the dyno.... In the vicinity of the Scott Hoag Bullitt/Mach 1 book display.... Not a bad spot until the dyno gets going.. Especially a diesel truck.. lol

Re: Back in the day members

I haven’t been on here in a very long time myself. I bought a Competition Orange 5-sp. car new. Eventually I had a 324” big bore stroker built for it along with 4.30s, axles, etc meanwhile staying full weight. It went a best of 11.34 @ 126 naturally aspirated and could knock down 27 miles per gallon on the highway. I won my class at the Mach1 shoot out (on a red light) in Norwalk Ohio if anybody remembers that event. I still have the event t-shirt.

I sold the car and the new owner who wasn’t afraid to break it and he went in the 10.90s at close to sea level with the addition of a two step and some new ET Streets. The car has changed hands a couple of more times since then so I have lost track of it. I became friends with the gentleman I sold it to and we still text each other about car matters to this day.

These days I have a 2017 Lightning Blue Mustang GT which is pretty much stock save for tint, springs, and 20” wheels/tires.

I miss the days of reading the forums where you could actually get good information unlike today’s social media outlets.
